Firmament Edifice
The building is amongst some new apartments and studio flats on the dock front in Bristol, England, United Kingdom.

Urban Transition
I took a few shots of this chrome plated sphere. I picked this particular photograph because I liked how there are few clouds in the sky, but there are many clouds in the reflection.
This building is At-Bristol's planetarium (the Orange Imaginarium). It was built relatively recently.

Solitude
It took me a while to find the right location for this shot. Eventually I found this old brick factory on an industrial park. In this photograph I was trying to portray the feelings of isolation, loneliness, solitude etc. With the figure lying in the lower left-hand corner and the large expanse of brick wall above him, I was trying to show how powerless, exposed and vulnerable he is. As far as the viewer is concerned, he has no face, no identity, no age. I think I managed to achieve the emotional atmosphere I was hoping for.

Perfectly Imperfect
Whilst searching for a leaf to photograph, I was surprised at how many were flawed. I spent a good few minutes searching through the many leaves, systematically discarding each in turn due to every one being visually defective and, in my opinion at that time, imperfect.
Slightly deformed, curled, creased, twisted, wilted, wrinkled, torn, nicked, scorched, discoloured or nibbled by insects; whatever it may be, every single leaf I looked at had a small something that conflicted with the stereotypical depiction of a leaf in my mind.
I soon gave up searching and just shot any leaf. Although initially disappointed, I later realised that I was wrong to think that I would find the archetypal leaf that easily and that these imperfections play a vital role in assuring things differ from one another. Each uniquely beautiful, personality and character defined by individuality – thus, my appreciation for the leaf in the photograph increased somewhat.
After giving this some more thought, I realised that this diversity in nature is more impressive than if each leaf were an exact replication of the other. With this amount of diversity, when, and if, I ever do find a 'flawless' leaf, I will now be able to appreciate it for both its individuality as well as its flawlessness.
Whether this text is interpreted simply as me talking about a photograph, or more metaphorically, it relates to many other aspects of life and nature. I believe, in conclusion, that perfection is relative to the individual.

Envy
The old disabled man, a keen motorcycle enthusiast, spends most of his lonely hours wishing he had a bike like this, while all the has is his electric powerchair and a walking stick. He has enormous resent for his disability, knowing he will never ride again. Therefore he is not only envious of the wealth and youth of the young Harley owner, but jealous of his able body.
The old guy is my nice neighbor. He is not really envious/jealous or does he resent his disability. Also, I don't think he is really a motorcycle enthusiast.
I took a few photos at different angles etc. But I had a hard job deciding between two shots in particular. This shot is a lot better photograph wise, however the old people's buggy thing is a little unclear. In the other shot it is more obvious, but the photograph is a bit boring and unoriginal.
